if you are not confident dont do it."i am"
i used this treatment on 3 blackrays not a $30 retic i know it works maybe just leave the ray for 5 minutes than instead of 15 but he said the ray was calm and seemed fine

If you're that confident there shouldn't be a "MAYBE", OR include a second maybe, as in maybe the ray will live.

maybe i shouldnt say confident than because the two of you are not.nor do i beleive gshock about his ray dying i call bull **** on that one

but my rays are fine i have been keeping rays going on 7 years and until my brother introduced me to this site i never used to do anything to my ray tanks except water changes weekly with great sucess.I read all the stuff on here for a while now and everybody does everything a little different with different outcomes and results.Mine are good if you dont care than dont leave stupid comments

and every ray is different and that means they will all react different just like any treatment.saltwater wont kill a fish in 15 minutes.maybe it was other factors

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, confidence does NOT affect the outcome of an experiment? :screwy: What benefit do I get from lying about the ray dying from the salt? Though I am not able to do complex experiments, I try to test out any plausible methods to use in the future. I benefit by saying it doesnt work? :screwy: Why did I even listen to your idiotic 25 pounds of salt per 100 gallon ratio? :screwy:I say YOU'RE bs-ing. You're basically telling me adding a liter of clove oil to 5 gallons of water wont kill my fish...

stress???
A perfectly healthy ray has enough stress to kill itself right?

Uhh, Im pretty sure at that high of a concentration, freshwater fish are going to die...And you just finished saying I left the ray in the water for too long. Which is it? Why change your statement? Is it because I reminded you on the instructions you gave me? Don't try to change up your reasons now with this every ray is different bs to cover up your price to survival rate comparision. And I thought you said my raying dying was bs? Now you're switching that too? Which is it? Your replies are becoming more and more contradicting, I'm not sure I understand.

7 years? 7 years in the aquarium hobby, especially while keeping rays and you have no idea you could even use salt until 2 weeks ago? That sounds about as rediculous as Trevinoboy's advice. I dont even believe you've never had a single problem for 7 years. I'm pretty sure even your LFS would know to use salt. 7 years no problems? Don't kid me.

whatever it didnt work for you but i have had good results maybe we just did somwthing different lets keep it at that how about.sorry your retic died

i have used salt before just not 3lbs per 100 gallons.smaller amounts yes.i have been told by a local fish genius 6 or so years ago that the only thing to treat rays with was salt.he has been in the buisness for years and i trust him.best not to do anything at all.and i used to feed my rays only earthworms but the price has gone up so expensive now compared to 2-3 years ago.maybe thats why i never had problems very clean food and no parasites

Nice fish genius...

the 3rd ray i tested this on just a few days ago is eating well now.before he would only take earthworms whole and he is only 5 1/2". now he will eat chopped shrimp and hikari massivore pellets.it took a bit longer than the others to come around.i have seen results 3 times all with very expensive rays that didnt die minutes after i put him back in my tank "positive results".the 3rd ray is still a bit slow but his diet changed a couple days after the salt bath
