  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
looks good but i kinda like the gravel look better

Ya. I agree. I liked the look of the gravel setup better (and I'm a sand fan). Is that a loiselli or a freddy or neither?

I think it doesnt look quite perfect yet because of the fake decor i have in there.
I'm thinking that if i get some rockwork and real driftwood (like everyone said), it will look really good.
But right now, all the same old decor is in there and it doesnt go that well with the sand.

Thats my Male Loisellei. He's still young and not fully grown yet.
Here's some close ups.

looks great. wher'd you get that filter sand? i wanna go sand on my poly and ray tank but i've stayed bare bottom for other reasons (im lazy when it comes to cleaning, and keeping a bare bottom tank clean is the easiest)

You can get it at any Swimming pool supply store. I went to Leslie's Pool Supplies in Escondido.
It was $9 for a 50lb bag. ;)

Sometimes Home Depot carries Filter sand also.

Sand Rules, gravel should be illegal

:D

Thanks for all the complements.
It WAS a pain. But i like this much better. I was getting sick of looking at gravel and sick of shoving the siphon through it to clean.

Thanks for that close up of the loiselli. Great looking fish. I think you are right about the natural decor. Some driftwood would definitely look nice.

How is the aggression on the loiselli? I had a small one a while back. He was pretty mean.
