Beginner Oddball fish

Hey guys, I am thinking of purchasing an oddball fish that won't get too big for my tetra community tank... any suggestions? Its a 38 gallon tank btw.

Here's the current inhabitants

7 Black Neon tetras
5 Pristella tetras
8 Glowlight tetras
6 Panda Corys
1 Brushmouth Pleco
A lot of RCS as well as some horned nerite snails and MTS.

Depends on what you would consider an odd ball i guess? But with stock such as yours i'm going to guess its going to have to be a very mellow odd ball, or your going to end up with a lot of missing fish / shrimp...

Oh I also forgot, I have 2-3 clown killies as well as 3 lampeye killies as well

Normally, when people ask for odd ball recommendations, i always shoot for puffers, but in your case, a puffer just wouldn't work since no matter which one you choose, there is a very good chance all your current stock would be destroyed...

So sadly, no recommendations from me, since i'm more of a puffer person than anything else...

I have a african butterfly fish and a farlowella catfish in my 29 gal planted community. They go well with my tetras and are truely odballs

I've always considered bichirs an oddball but I'm pretty sure a Senegal would eat all of those options.

Then why recommend it..... I would say farlowella also maybe a peacock eel? Is your tank 36" long?

Morymids, such as an elephant nose or dolphin. Very peaceful, but, feeding can be a challenge!
