A friend of mine and I have started a new project, mainly for breeding purposes in my basement, near my pond. We picked up a 9 tank fish rack, with tanks, glass covers, lighting, and plumbing for $300.... A steal. Where we got it has 2 more we have put a down-payment on, but have to pick up... Here is the first one.. All after being disassembled cleaned, and reassembled...

Between the 2 of us we have a breeding pair of Red Dragon discus (with other prospects that look promising), Chocololate Angels, Dempsey (blue gene now with EBJD grow outs waiting to pair off) And a future EBJD project times 3

The rack holds 6x 15g and 3x 20 gal tall... I have a 75g using as a sump... The tanks all had to be scaled and washed. and we tinted the backs... lights, tops, and plumbing all had to be scubbed. When built they used indoor wood screws (some rusted pretty bad, what a *****...) so all had to be replaced with decking screws and some other misc bs...

next thing is the pump, hoses, and sump media we need to purchase...

Its coming along nicely and I will keep it updated... We have many breedable prospects and are aiming to get some uncommon species as well... Any suggestions would be cool..

Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Got it up and running Sunday... I'm using a mag 12 pump rated for 1200 gal with an 8 foot rise so I figure Im getting about 750 gal per hour flow... The air line is way too big... In fact we are getting another setup just like it in the next week or so... So I have dropped a couple of seasoned bio pads in the sump and will be using some water from other established tanks to help cycle... Bredding Discus, EBJD a project started a while ago and documented here on MFK... Angels, Electric Blue Rams, and some others...
