Since moving the dempseys to the system and getting such great results i decided to move the angels and.... the discus.... They were showing signs of bonding and the alpha male was brutilizing my most mature female.. So they needed to be separated. As soon as they got into the system they began to dance... Awesome... They are even cleaning the cone.
The angels took a little longer to get comfortable, but eventually they too started showing off to each other and cleaning several spots.
Now also with more blue gene dempseys in the top 3 tanks.. I added a 50 watt heater to discus tank to hopefully bring it up a few degrees. I turned down the flow of their tank as well.. I added some small planted driftwood and some extra plants..
As of now the "room" is my basement and it's not heated... But to conserve heat during the winter months and for security purposes a room will be constructed around the existing systems... There will probably be no need for a heat source once concealed, but we will cross that bridge when we get to it.. Right now tanks are running around 81.5F...
