some problem must have happened with this shipment..my RTG is also starting to come up, although not turning...but a little of the back out of the water..

Jeesus...

This is really freaken awful... i am sorry for you Miguel.. just going through all this when it is suppose to be happy

never give up.....

coming from a fishing standpoint - catch and release - there are times when it takes a good hour or two to revive a fish and watch it swim away 100% healthy....

up temps - air stones - powerheads - and hold.....

patience.....hopefully they make it

If it is an anaesethic problem, it will wear off slowly. Just looks really bad initially. I dont think holding it will do much if there is plenty of oxygen. Just give it some time and hope.

The only thing I can tell you confidently is DONT use table salt for tanks. It has Iodine and chemicals to maintain free flowing. Use cooking salt or swim pool salt. I wouldnt add anything now though. Just wait and watch. Might take 24 hours for full recovery. I am sure shippers know what they are doing.

Good luck!

Man, 2 hours? Its more than 6 hours allready and the moment I release it up she pops with half her belly up in the air..... it's 3 in the morning here...

yikes, didn't know it had been so long.....

well, bass fisherman usually carry around a needle/syringe to puncture the bladder in worse case scenarios.....

i ain't suggesting you do it....but if it is an air bladder thing - could be a last resort type of solution.....

didn't know it had been 6 hours.....but given they are still alive.....

now again, i am only giving you last resort stuff...but interestingly, i just saw a local china LFS guy do something quite unique.....

he just brought in a new shipment and a fish was belly up but alive....

here is what he did.....

hold it right side up - and begin the gently massage and squeeze it -- basically burping it or encouraging it to release air.....

i thought he was doing it quite "ruff" but in about 10 seconds, the fish swam away and was 100%.....

I have heard of people massaging air out of the fish before... no idea how you'd go about it. Good luck with this guys, i know it must be late now.
