BENCHING WEIGHT!!!

LOL I bench about 40kg, what's that, like 90 pounds?

bench 40 at 15 reps, 4 sets. I could bench way more, but, I would hurt myself.... that = bad...

oh, I'm 6' and weigh a bit shy of 60kg.

EDIT : actually, I've beefed up tonnes since I started going to the gym. I started at 54kg (under weight), and haven't measured myself since, it's been about 4 weeks, and I've gained 10kg....
 
I do 155, 10 times and around 5-7 reps. I never tried doing my max yet.
 
Don't bench any more, i do dumbbell press, when i used to bench i was doing 80kg 3 sets of 10 with ease.

I leg press about 230kg 507lb and squat 110kg 242lb, both 3 sets of 10.

i have to disagree. i think you may only be speaking for yourself. it's not for everyone

but for me, benching is one of the best workouts you can do if you want to look good with your shirt off. guys with big arms and no chest don't look right

back in highschool, i was 155 pounds, 5'6" as a senior. I maxed out at 295 on the bench. benching was about all i did. I also liked to curl and work on my back arm but that was just to help me bench more.

now i'm pretty fat, I'm almost 200 pounds and don't work out anymore but last time I tried I still put up 250 and proved my brother wrong

benching is good,dumbbells are better,maxing can add more risk for injury.Some ppls upper bodies are formed different and certain lifts target the muscles they want better than others,regular flat bench dosnt do much for me unless I do close grip,hammer strength machines are the best and dumbbell press and flys.I can bench all of you guys while your benching your max at the same time,jk,but really with maxing,real good chance of hurting something and if you dislocate or tear something bad enough it will go from how much can you bench,to who do you call to wipe your rearend.Oh,and as you age,enjoy the hemroids from the maxin out.I know it sounds good to say what you can lift,just dont go nuts and get an asstroid tryin to impress someone,your more impressive by your detication to an overall fitness routine like a boxer or mma fighter or a gymnest.Go heavy fine,but dont let pride send you a doctor bill and a life as a gimp.Late.:)
