Besides the cutest fish ever, what is she?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The plecos could be a big problem. They are known to eat the slime coat of off bichirs. Some synos harass bichirs also but some don't so I guess just keep your eye on them.

I'd say its a lap-Anne

that does look like her :) Thanks :) Is she going to need a friend then? I have a 200 gallon that she will be going into when the pacu shift it. Probably her, the oscar, 3 synodontis (sp?) Mr E (no idea what he is) and 3 pleco so far. Oh, and some giant danios if they live that long lol!

post a pic of mr. E, we could probably ID him/her.

its a lap and ditch the plecos

More piccies at different angles and so on at http://www.geocities.com/thepaculady/MrE/MrEnSyn.htm and if that doesn't work try http://www.spodbox.org/~saphphx/MrE/MrEnSyn.htm
So there he is and 2 of my 3 synodontis. The Spiky Twins I think are Synodontis eupterus and Mr Grey (the third synodontis not pictured) I think is Synodontis bastiani, but Mr Gray wont come out and I can't find any good pics of him at the moment.

They have never bothered her as far as I can see. The Synodontis lay on her every now and then but never suck on her or anything. She is in the tank upstairs with just the oscar right now anyway :)

nice and FAT lap u got..... ^ ^

She has shrimp addiction issues.

That's a "Chinese Algae Eater". Sorry don't know the latin off-hand. And I would be more worried about IT bothering the poly. than the plecos. I've seen those things "suck" other fish do death many times.
