Best all in 1 nano 24-30g tank.

Crushed coral is the substrate.
As far as between the two, I like the pods better due to not only the more lighting, but the individual switches for them.

I finally got a fish, I went with a the yellow candy hogfish. It is peaceful, reef safe, invert safe. It does get to 4'', but is only 1.5'' now. Hopefully I can keep him for a while, the sw store said that people with larger tanks would be happy to take him when he grows up if I feel he is to big for the pod. He did not come out the whole first day, but now he is pretty active.
Zoanthids are doing extremely well so far too.

sorry foe chiming in so late, but if you ever do something like this in the future, and for anyone reading this considering doing the same... the 34 gallon red sea MAX is pretty pimp if i do say so myself... it's $800 for the tank and stand, but it comes with it's own skimmer, a wavemaker, auto timers for all the lights (which are T5's instead of PC's) and over all looks very sharp...

just another opinion
PS the candy hog should be fine in there even as an adult, if you feel he's getting to big, i'll take em :D

Feel free to chime in as late as you want.:) I like hearing other opinions, didn't look at the 34gallon red sea. Isn't that fairly new? For a tank to come with all the goods stock is really pimp.
I like the pod because I have the option to run only my blues and then my blues with my whites, the neg I have on them is only 2 chambers, I like 3 and the chambers are kind of skinny and it is hard to reach my had down into them. $800 is pretty pricey, but if you figure in all the goods it comes with doesn't seem that bad. I picked up the pod used and it doesn't even a little scratch on it.
Yellow hog is a cool fish, I like how it swims around alot. All my friends want we to add more fish, but I like less bioload. lol I might add some small gobys, but I wanted something bright because I run the blues 10hrs and that is normally what I see. I'm thinking about a purple fire fish and call it finished fish wise. But taking it slow..and looking around keeping my options open.
Anything small that looks like the flame angel? lol They get to big...ughh
I picked up a nice bright frag of red zoas, they really show up nice. I love anything that glows under blueatinic I think that is so cool.

a flame hawkfish kinda looks like a flame angel, but doesn't really act like one...
a cherub angel doesn't really look like a flame, but stays a bit smaller
pretty much any of the flasher wrasses would be active and vibrant red, but you hog may pick on them

I kept a flame hawkfish before, they kind of creep me out. They watch and stare at you.in my opinion. lol
Flasher wrasse would be cool, and the hog is very small I will check and see but I think they are pricey in my area.

Anyone have any ideas on how to keep my fish from jumping into the back of the tank? I didn't see him for a few days and hoped he didn't die somewhere in the live rock and sure enough he was in the back just chilling.

Tried some tygon tubing to make the jump harder, hopefully it keeps the hog out of the back chambers.

Update went with zoas, let me know what you think the picture came out kind of cloudy.

Any suggestions on keeping the hair algae down, it gets on the glass everyday. Also cleaning the hard to get stubborn green algae off of acrylic tanks? I am using white cleaning cloths, kind of like t**** material as I have read that wood particles in paper towels could possibly scratch the glass. It is hard to it scrub off, but on a good note I have good coraline growth.
