Best and Worse Comic Book Movies!

Just saw The Wolverine. At first I didn't like them taking away his healing powers but later it got better. Overall enjoyed the whole movie. So, am I undersatanding it correctly that he only lost his adamantium in his claws? But still has it in the rest of his body?

Confused with how Silver Samurai had himself 'plugged' into Wolverine's broken claw points on what all he was taking from Wolverine.

from what I understand, all the adamantium in his body is gone. not just his claws

in the comics at one point magneto used his power and took all his adamantium out too. only his bones come out of his fist

That's what I was wondering about. It will be interesting to see how he will be in any future films.

Well, if Magneto took them out in the comics....he can put them in...in the movies. I was reading up just awhile ago and from what I'm understanding he can regenerate the adamantium as well(in the comics).

I guess Magneto could,if the producers wanted to go that route, as for regenerating, how would he be able to do that when the adamantium is not a substance he was born with but was inserted by scientists....am I overthinking this?

Here's what I found

Adamantium Beta: After Wolverine was exposed to Adamantium during the bonding process, his regenerative powers altered the nature of of the Adamantium allowing it to be regenerated like his normal skeleton. (Don't ask because this makes no sense to me either.) This beta adamantium is supposedly as strong as true adamantium but that is unlikely since his bone structure would be as porous as his bones were originally.

Adamantium Beta: The only known occurrence of Adamantium Beta was during the Weapon X Project. By the second part of the procedure when they laced his bones with Adamantium there was a reaction with his healing factor that bonded metal and bone. As a result the Adamantium "heals" just as his bones do.

I feel like I should put my two cents in here. I read the whole thread and I think I'm the biggest marvel can here haha.

The first three spider man movies, terrible. Spider-Man is my favorite comic book character and those movies were very disappointing.
The first three xmen movies, terrible.
The two fantastic four movies, I liked them.
The two ghost rider movies, I think Nicolas cage says enough.
I loved the first blade movie. The other two I didn't enjoy.
Tom Janes punisher I liked. The other guy, I didn't.
I liked the two hulk movies, but I liked the Edward Norton hulk more.
And after all this I learned that I was expecting too much from Hollywood. I was expecting the comics books and trading cards I grew up with to come to life. Which, in a way, they did. Not the way I envisioned it though. So I stopped watching these movies with a microscope and accepted that Hollywood would do its thing and I had take these movies as new alternate stories.
The first wolverine movie... I really like what they did with saber tooth. But what they did with dead pool ruined the movie. Wtf. The second wolverine I really liked.
The most recent spider man, I really enjoyed.
The most recent xmen, first class, I really enjoyed.
The avengers I really enjoyed.
The iron man movies i really enjoyed.
Thor I enjoyed.
Captain America I enjoyed.

Anything I didn't mention I don't care for.

I grew up with marvel comics and I'll continue to watch what they produce. Looking forward to what else marvel puts out.

I understood that the "drills" or plugs into Wolverine were somehow transferring Logan's healing power to the Silver Samurai (this is the premise of the whole movie)... He only lost the adamantium claws (not his whole body) cause they were "cut off" by the hot adamantium sword, then Logan regenerated new claws...

This has always annoyed me (nerdily) about Magneto... a metal must be ferrous for Magneto to control it otherwise magnetic forces have no effect on it. Maybe Adamantium is, I don't know, but I was pissed when he could manipulate the Statue of Liberty in X1...

So if the Silver Samurai stole his healing power then he no longer has that power which is why his claws are now bones rather than adamantium?......When did he recover from the effects of what that villain woman did to him?
