Best canister filter and why...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ive used the magnum in the past.I like that its clear so you can see how dirty the sleeve is Ilike the motor is separate.Impeller is easy to replace.and swicthing over to paper filter for water polishing is easy.Im curious as to how this thread goes cause I need a couple of canisters in the next few months

Well, im going to get a no name brand filter off of ebay in less than a month. The one im gettin is about 1600lph, only costs $100AUD and its going on my 48"x18"x20".
I really think that this will work just fine, it all depends on how much you have to spend really.
I wouldnt consider buying the very expensive brands just yet (am at school).
but i have heard good things about Eheims though.

Gonna put a cannister filter on this system...
48 x 12 x 16
...penquin 350 w/bio wheels and custom packed filters

Which cannister filter and why?
I forgot to give the reason why?Eheim cannister filters never give you any problems. They are made of excellent quality, and they last for years.
