Best catfish bait

I fish for bass too but there's nothing like a 45+lb cat taking your line for a ride (redneck deep sea fishing lol) and catfish taste better to me. nice reply havey on the 14'' bass lol

I live in australia and where i fish for catfish, to get a 70-90cm catfish (dont ask me how many inches but around 3 foot), i use earth worms. they work a treat. Biggest i caught was around the late 80 cms and that fought for quite a while. ive actually got one in my aquarium its bout 10 cm at the moment but it'll grow to a decent size!

i trot line and jug frequently and have used multiple baits the best i have found are jumbo minnows skipjack and shad p.s. fish that arent native to the waters ur fishing have a different scent that may be more attractive

I just read what you were asking about crawfish. They work great although I have only used the peeled tails when I was youger. Knowing what I do now, I would probably just hook the entire crawdad on the hook and smash him up a bit.

I use a fallfish, cut up for channels and bullheads, keep that fallfish alive and you can use him for bigggg! smallies, muskie and flatheads. Flatheads have been intorduced to the central pa area. They are a kill on site fish here.

catch a bluegill or some other "bait" fish (bait meaning NON game) score him up a little hokk em and wait. mean but effective.
