Best Clean-up Crew for Bichir Tank

I have a bichirs only tank with about 8 polys. I want to buy some other fish or school of fish that will clean up the leftover food that my polys didn't eat. I feed them tilapia and there's always small bits of it left over that none of them eat. What's a good fish to put in my tank that won't be so fast that it gets all the food before my bichirs have a chance to get it?

Synodontis catfish. Pick one you like that gets large enough.

I've had about 10 species of synos with my bichirs for over 12 years. Not one of them has ever sucked on a bichir.

I dont think thats even possible..

No apple snails, they suck at cleaning up. They get to the pellets much faster than the bichirs and they poop everywhere.
Plus the eggs.. the eggs.. I have to reach 2.5' to the other side of the tank to scrap the eggs off

I would also like to know this.. My single Del likes to crap enough for 5 bichirs...
