i got a 55g with stand and canopy, light, emperor 400 HOB filter, 100w heater, undergravel filter(which was lame and i didnt use) and some big fake castles(which i replaced with real stuff like driftwood/live plants) all for $100...seemed like a decent deal - also got a 35g hex with stand, filter and other accessories for $40 which was also a pretty decent deal
You gotta love Craigslist.
I just picked up two setups, the first is a 120 with metal stand that was only 6 months old with everything including a Fluval Fx5, glass cover, single strip light, two heaters, two power heads, digital temp moniter, test kit, and cleaning kit. It was listed for 5 bills in the morning, later in the day the guy lowered the price to $400., good thing I checked the listing before going to look at it cause I would have offered him $450. on his 5 hun asking price.
The second tank I picked up is a 75 gal, no stand, with glass top, dual strip light, heater, overflow filter, and cleaning kit. This one needs to be resealed, got it for $75..

I bought a complete 150 gallon tank with everything but the stand for 200 bucks. It came with an FX5 full of media, 300w heater, powerheads, big thing of carbon and a bunch of other stuff. I ended up selling the tank for 150 and kept everything else. I like to think of it as i bought an FX5 for 50 dollars.
I bought a 125gal glass tank with stand for $120 No leaks or anything. It was some rich older guy who just wanted it out of his garage. And THEN we came across a guy with a 250gal who wanted a 150gal. So we traded him a stand, filter, and the tank for the 250 gal. Not a bad deal. All I have to say about finding good deals is just go on craigslist every day! If you're patient you will come across a really good deal eventually.
