2260 has been discontinued... you think parts will stay available as i hear these filters can last a very long time(why replace if it works) how you like your pro 2 blue2?

really? where did yu hear this man? if this is true, i wonder if the 2250 line has been discontinued as well.

it says it on a couple web sites and others have it listed as backorder.... :/

You could get the 2262, which is a 2060 with the larger 1262 pump. These seem to be readily available and this badboy would be plenty of flow for your tank. It also comes with the quick-disconnects which the 2060 does not. It's not cheap, but it's an Eheim classic, and would probably last you 10+ years, it'd be virtually silent and would be plenty of filtration for your tank.

I have a ehime 2128 pro 2 w/built in heater that has been a great filter. No noise easy to clean. The only problem I have had is the main o-ring leaked one time. I fixed it by lubing it with plumbers grease. Ehime is one of the best you can buy. Also customer service is very good.

I think you would be best with an UGF.

i would run one(if i wasn't going with sand bottom) with the eheim(ugf is just a hook up) i end up choosing but i'm unsure which filter i'm going to get.

some people have had bad luck with UGF's but i have had good experiances(i used large substrate though...)
