Best Filtration For 300 Gallon?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
On my 400 I used 2 Rena XP4's and a Rainbow 900 fluidized bed filter. I didn't want to use a sump for 2 reasons 1. I have wood floors and I feel that I am at the max weight the floors can support safely and 2. I also have a drip system and it doesn't work as well draining from the sump. My old 200 came very close to flooding several times and one time it flooded about 30 gallons on the floor. So far I've been happy not running a sump and the canister filters are much quieter than the wet/dry filter on my 200.
