Best Filtration for my African Tank.

Not just for bio....no. They have two cleanable mechanical filtration pads in each cartrage. The Emporers are the 400 and 280 twin pump filters with the spray bar driven bio-wheels. The 350 is a penguin...but yes they make them from the penguin 350 and even for the wispers...in fact they turn the wispers and top fins into an acceptable HOB filter.

Hmm I think I smell an upgrade to an emperor 400, anyone want a almost brand new 350 penguin lol? I'm going to have to get 3 of those pads for my whisper, and 350, that is if no one wants to buy it lol....

imo your stock will be fairly heavy and hob filters dont really do a nice job with mechanical filtration even the best dont come close to a good canistor i would prsonaly go with 2 405 along with your emp and maybe look into a aquaclear they do a bit more for you with options for prolonged periods of cleanings if 2 canistors is out go with the aquaclear and 1 405 along with the emp

Sorry this is kinda off topic but in the long run when they reach around 5-6" I am going to add a Fluval 305, I know I've been saying I have a 305 in this thread it was a brain fart on me cuz its in my sig that i have a 205. And I would like to get an emperor 400 instead of my 350. I think with the 205, 305, and either what I have now or the emperor 400 will be sufficient for that tank.
