Best fish for a 55?

I like JD's or maybe a pair of salvinis.

I'm going to have a nice JD with dark grey sand, a black background and some rockwork in my double nickel.

salvini, jack dempsey, green terror, convict, buffalohead all would be much happier in a 75 gallon when they get bigger.

yeah you could have a breeding pair of sals in the 55

sals would do better than a GT...the males don't get much more than 8 inches. Although, anything would probably be happier in a 75.

Ok everyone is pretty much saying every fish needs to be in a 75 lol. So uh what CAN go in a 55.... I have a 55 also and can't upgrade

This one is easy...female festae. Rarely if ever gets larger than 12 inches (usually tops out at 10 inches) and has spectacular colors. That is my old full grown 10-11 inch female in the avatar.

midas, pure bred or "other" can hit 15-16" hardly suitable for 55's.
