Do you both kayak in non alligator man made lakes or even alligator lakes , rivers ?

Just like he said so far just man made lake, but will be going out where ever. The lagoons, wekiwa etc. The only place I wont go in is St. Johns River LOL to alligator infested for me.

Lol what ur scared of alliagtors in a yak? Theres nothing more refreshing than kayaking with a nice old 15 foot, 500 lb gator just inches from me and a small 10ft kayak between us.

I use my tarpon 125 to open ocean fish for large sharks rays and tarpon

Me and Ash have only played in the pond in my backyard so far. I just got some goodies for my yak, rod holders, drift chute , anchor trolley kit, etc. When were ready we will eventually start fishing around mosquito lagoon and indian river lagoon.

I wish I wasnt so afraid of gators or would like to take a kayak out in local lake but constantly looking around me would ruin it for me lol.

the gators here are 2 feet max but big enough for me lol

I wouldnt be in a 45 ft yacht with a gator that big in area lol.

I thought of a row boat with engine but even that was to low for me .

lol I am not really afraid of sharks, but I am afraid of gators. I like them from a far but not up close. I dont mind going where they are - but not if its infested with them like the St. Johns is - I would be terrified of flipping.

I have a 12 ft patriot kayak. http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/producte/10001/-1/10001/126730/377%20710/0/patriot%20kayak/Primary%20Search/mode%20matchallpartial/0/0?N=377%20710&Ne=0&Ntt=patriot%20kayak&Ntk=Primary%20Search&Ntx=mode%20matchallpartial&Nao=0&Ns=0&keyword=patriot%20kayak&isLTokenURL=true&storeNum=5005&subdeptNum=10&classNum=806 I don't fish in it standing, but I haven't been able to tip it over. I have used it in some decent sized waves and even tried rocking it hard a couple of times. I'm sure it can be knocked over, but it would take deliberate effort. I once tried to stand in it at a beach. I lost my balance and fell, but the kayak didn't flip over.

I think it is the same as the Mainstream Patriot. Some of the reviews I have read seem to think so
