fluval distributors sell the hose ends it's like $4 for 2 of them on ebay. i'm sure they aren't much more expensive at your local LFS.

and even though i've never purchased one, i'd be willing to bet that the ETH heater comes with everything you need to hook it up properly.

Nope, I have an Eheim and a Fluval and the Hydor eth heater, the fluval will not work without switching it to a vinyl hose setup and that is done with NON Fluval parts because the 05 series have completely different connectors coming out of the canister and on the intake/outake pipes.
