This tank was originally supposed to be a sump for a wet/dry recirculating system. Once I saw it full of water I couldnt resist filling it with rocks and backup broodstock. Now there is at least forty fish ranging from an 9" S. Petricola to Jacobfreibergi fry.
I normally change out about 60 l of water on this tank a week so I tought that if I could absorb nitrates that I could reduce this somewhat.
Apart from fish grazing the roots, my biggest concern is my ever curious cat, Wanker. I wonder how long the egg crate can hold him out of the water.
