thanks, but roaches scare me lol, except madagascar hissing roaches but there too big.

How is that other roaches scare you but not madagascar hissing roaches? they are the biggest, they climb glass and they hiss at you. There is nothing to be afraid of with other types of roaches. Dubai roaches has already been brought up and is a good choice. I bought about 30 of them at a reptile expo last fall. I had no intent to breed them and it was my first experience with roaches. They are very hardy and live quite a long time even if you neglect them for short periods of time. They reproduce fast, mine reproduce and that wasn't even my goal. I don't use any special heating devices and they still reproduce. They apparently don't bite...although i have never touched one, i use tongs instead. They don't climb glass, they don't make noise, they don't stink like crickets.
My ONLY problem? my tarantula won't eat them! I don't know what your gecko will think of them but from what i've heard they like them. So i give them to my jag, it's his favorite food. If you use them in an aquarium some of them sink and drown right away, others float around for a while. Keep an eye on the ones float. If they latch onto your heater they can climb out using the cord.
If you think Dubai roaches will be too big try turkish roaches. they are smaller, breed fast and don't climb glass.

ps: sweet ball python.

Thanks for the complement lol.

As far as my fear of roaches, I should clarify. Madagascars have no wings, therefore cannot fly. If they cannot fly I am fine with it. Also I had a pet Madagascar and took a liking to them. I never encountered Dubias but they look scary lol. Thanks for your input, love to keep hearing your thoughts guys.

Its weird how many reptile people are scared of roaches. Yall just need to sit down with your hand in a big bowl of dubai roaches and watch Joe's apartment.
