Thanks all. Will let u know what I decide.

Just got off the phone with my LFS. They are recommending that I get some of the larger varieties of rainbowfish instead of something more aggressive. Sound like a good idea? Seems like they would end up getting eaten by CK.

what about tinfoil barbs, get big, will eat anything, and fast enough to get out of harms way.

I would not waste money on rainbow fish. they will surely get eaten. I would go with gar or a Hepsetus Odoe as previously mentioned. They are not aggressive to fish they cannot eat (and Ive always wanted an Odoe). Dats are also good and perhaps a bowfin but they do get rather large.

If you are wanting something to serve as a target fish/dither role, then lemon fin barbs or tin foils are your best bet.

Already have a school of Silver Dollars. Don't really want any more highbodied silver fish in my tank. Don't they eat Hippo poo in the wild? I think I am fresh out of that.
