LFS told me that some rainbows that they have get to 8-9" long. I never heard of any rainbowfish getting that big. Anyone else?

Yes Rainbows get that big but your LFS is trying to make money out of you by getting you to buy rainbows at $12+ a fish and they're schooling.....Hujeta Charicin are good and like to stay in shoaling groups.....And no the Poop eating fish were carp not Barbs if I remember correctly
Who said anything about $12? I don't know what the rainbows cost. They actually said the rainbows were cheap enough that if my CK ate them it wouldnt be that bad cause they r cheap. Also, which rainbows get that big?Darth Scohin;4320654; said:

I believe Turquoise and Bosemani reach those lengths but they range between $6-$20 depending on species....I'd agree with the many that state Odoe as a good fish I love them
