Best place for Snakeheads in US?

My gfs dad lives about 10-15 mins from the Potomac in Ashburn Virginia. I had no clue about a snakehead population there. I would love to catch one! Anyone fished that area?

Lots of snake heads here in Fort Lauderdale, but none very large. For very large, you might try fishing for BOWFIN. They look like 20+ pound snakeheads and they go for catfish baits. As far as eating them....I can't comment.

If you find water in Florida chances are there's a gator in it! Remember it's not the ones you see you need to worry about. Those aren't in hunting mode, it's the ones submerged by the banks that will get you.. All the canals in south Florida have gators (I've even come across afew nice crocodiles too now that their numbers are increasing)and some big ones in heavily residential areas.. Honestly you have nothing to worry about kayaking where gators are. I've grown up here fishing and swimming with them and besides the breeding season where females are aggressive protecting their nests I've never had an issue.
