I use Animal planets sinking cichlid pellets.

I use Massivore Delite as well... any idea what is the best for the money?? The bag I buy runs me more than buying a 8'' Delhezi.

I use Dainichi. Don't know what the distribution is like in the rest of the US, though. It's a great food, and I'd take it over Hikari any day.

I like the Hikari Massivore Delite. It's easier for my larger bichirs to eat since it's a lot bigger. Cutting up shrimp in tiny bit pieces will get your bichir appetites going.

I use Dainichi Cichlid XL and Hikari Massivore for pellets, and also supplement krill. Works for me!

How much do you play? Online places sell the larger sizes (13oz or larger), which is a better bang for the buck. I've seen one place selling the 13oz size for $19. For me, the best bang for buck is to supplement the pellets w/ market frozen fish/shrimp. I've just started using smelts, and it is about $2-3 for a pound (I cut it to bit size, then marinade in Zoe vitamin plus garlic).

At that price, I woulda said Fk that and used a diet of shrimp and fish enhanced with vitamins.. Can't justify paying more than 5 bucks per pound, especially when seafood is so cheap

hikari sinking carnivore pellets are the best IMO
