best small tank filtration method

How do you set up those hydro sponges? They look simple yet effective.

Easy easy. You take it out of the box, attach air tubing connected to an airpump into a little hole, and slide on the big plastic clear tube you see on top there, and it's done!

Not a very good explanation, but if you have an airpump, air tubing, and a hydro sponge, you're ready to go. Directions in the box. I think they're like 2 steps long. ^^

You just connect the air hose into the top of the sponge filter, add the plastic pipe, place the sponge inside the tank and turn on the air hose. Easy peasy japaneasy.

actully I do mine a bit differantly...I use a small round air stone and a short piece of air line below the connection...this provides a LOT more bubbles...hence greater lift and more efficiancy. (once you open one you'll understand what I'm talking about....)

Red Sea actually makes a nano filter with small flow rate.

Theres also that tiny canister but I've yet to get my hands on one to test it...something like 25.00...30.00 bones

Wolf, is the canister something like 12"x12"x10"? Called the Resun CY-20 Cyclone External Filter? If so, they have this in the current issue of Aquarium Keeper Australia™. Ideal for tank at 50 Litres/13 Gallons. Comes with media supplied.

hey guys thanks for the ideas.. but its not for fry :P
its for some hampala barbs that right now are about 2 inches
but i already know what ima do... apparently they love a strong current so im just gonna throw a 600 L/hour filter in their so itll b doing 10 cycles an hour :P
