i sure hope so. he freaks out if you get near his tank and goes back and hides in the corner. even during feeding he eats quickly then goes back to hiding. so any monsters? i did some searching and came up with these ones any comments on them?
black arowana
pacman catfish
achara catfish
ornate pim catfish
thnx

I owned a Red Texas that was down right nasty as all get out but not all fish of the same species share the same personality nor mature at the same time. Poly's do well with Cichlids and I've seen plenty of tank pics w/ Datniods cohabing w/ SA/CA's. With Large Tooth Charciforms and Large Cichlids one of the main problems I've found is that the cichlids are much more aggressive eaters and will desimate the characins food supply. Smaller SA/CA's ie Firemouth, Salvini, Convicts, HRP"s - have worked for me w/ all types of charciforms.

black arowana no, someone correct me if im wrong in thinking theyre too fragile at a size small enough to keep in his tank for more than 6 months w/ the tankmates he stated
pacman catfish no way, gets way too big and will eat everything
achara catfish no way, gets too big and will eat everything
ornate pim catfish could work
thnx

personally, I would ditch the cuda and get a poly, senegal, albino sen, del, palmas pollii, or maybe you could even have one of the larger ones.

I'm not a huge poly guy so maybe others could give you better suggestions.

ok thnx i did ditch the cuda idea and swapped it for a ornate pim. i want all sa or ca fish so no polys, maybe the next tank.

i think the archer fish is cool as. im thinking about getting a school for my 130g but i dont know if i want to deal with brackish. not many nice brackish fish ive found so far. i was going to just fill my 24.75" tank up about 18" of water with plants and branches that stick out of the wayer. throw some crickets in there and watch em have fun. was also wanting to throw some dats in there but they all look the same from what ive found so far. plus from what i read they belong in brackish also which throw my TSN baby out of the picture.

if your thinking of upgrading in the future i have seen SA lungfish work with cichlids but it can be hit or miss - i had an african lung with SA cichlids for years (people say the cichlids nip at the legs of the lungfish- this never happened with mine ever! the cichlids kept away from the lung) SA are not as aggressive as africans so the mix could work - they are wonderful centrepiece fish

Here are some starter monsters for you to chose from.
