I have heard between 200-240. This tank will have a large footprint. My wife already dislikes my 120; what about a 220?

180 and up

you dont want to hear bigger is better? But that is the answer for the best tank size for a silver arowana .

I am definetly going to say 180. Two reasons. It is big enough for the fish for a long time. And if in a couple of years you decide you want to give him more room, you won't be in a rush. 180 gallons will do well into his adult hood. But, unlike mamals fish continue to grow after reaching adulthood, but at a much slower rate.

Boydo, your in the ball park. I know you have one of the most impressive tanks I've seen. I know its large, but how many fish do you have in there??? The question on this thread was the min. to house a single silver.
