Best Walmart find

I got got all giddy just by getting a festivum at firemouth price lol...finding a giraffe cat like that must've been awesome
 
I missed out on a good one once, asked a guy at walmart "how much is that fish" (talking about bosemani rainbow, that were $16 each, and pretty big) he says, "oh those dwarf gouramis are $4.50 each" (didnt want to buy the rainbows as I didnt know much about them) went back the next day but they had proper labels

they have one lady there who is fairly good, they get in gold nuggets, but know what they are, and are $30, they get in other cool stuff occasionally but no motoros unfortunately
 
Got a 3" senegalus bichir for 6.50. What a deal i thought! But where to put it?! In my 20g community tank till i got my large tank in the next couple weeks. He's already killed 15-20 dollars worth of fish. No longer such a great deal. :ROFL:Can't blame anyone but myself though.
 
there is a wal mart near me that was on a kick for about a year with pretty decent fish. they nearly always had rope fish, various puffers, silver and green scats, four lined pims, asian redtail cats, and even discus for about a week. they also had a 55 gal display tank with an oscar in it that looked really good, then one day all of that stuff was gone, and the display tank fish (the oscar, and another tank with mixed africans and a good size synodontis) were also for sale. ever since then it's been the typical goldfish and platys in dirty tanks.
 
The Walmarts by me dont seem to have deals very often- even the common fish seem expensive compared to the LFS. I shouldnt complain though because there was one time early this year they had 2" fire eels for $2.50 each. I bought both of them and they have slowly got to 6" and 7"
 
When I was a kid, I bought some fish from WalMart. They always seemed to be real diseased though. Perhaps it was my fault, I was like 12.

I like to look now, but I always have a hard time trusting.

Good thread subject though. I like it.
 
There was a leak at my walmarts aquarium section and all fish were 50% off, not much of a selection though.

Lol they still haven't fixed that leak.
 
Check out my avatar. Yep, hes from walmart. Non-albino veils are hard to find around this area and i dont think that theres that many on MFK either, as I only know of a handfull of people who have them on here.
