Best way to chop earthworms?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I always rinse them. Don't need that dirt crap (literally) in my tank. Plus, I have noticed any time I put a worm in the tank, it squirts out poo, so I take the liberty of doing this form them under a stream of running water ... Before cutting/feeding... it's quite gross.

Update: Slap chop is not sharp. Really have to slap it to get it to go through. Other than that, less messy and annoying .... just plop em on to a paper towel to soak up any gunk, other gunk stays in the receptacle to rinse out.

So basically, the scissor work better if you just get over the fact that worms are squirmy and yucky? lolol

Did you really buy a slap chop just to cut up n crawlers? Just wait till the n crawler streches itself out. Then cut with the scissors wait then cut again. It's that simple, lol.
Whomever that is worried about having dirt in there tank from the n crawlers? Just scoop it out with a net. I'm always checking out my tank for poop and debri :naughty:.
