Best way to make bichirs less shy?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I find driftwood and plants to be good for bichir, they hide but will come out when they are more comfortable in their enviroment, the bichir chooses to hide, they prefer to. Of course for those with aspiration for creating the "bichir substrate effect" they will not find such apealing.

I'm sorry this is just wrong they need their hiding spots to reduce stress not just for "hunting" the Barebottom and no decor is known as JDM and is not the "only" way to keep Polys

I agree about hiding spots helping reduce stress but it IS NOT needed and what does "JDM" have to do w/ anything? :screwy: JDM blew up as an automotive term and fish were kept this way in many countries before the stupid term hit MFK. JDM blah blah blah.

To the OP, hiding spots "may" help but more bichirs will help more IME.
