best way to move a fish from cold to warm

the fish is in a tank with no heater,about 76-78.
new tank,heater,about 82-84.

should i turn off heater then add fish then turn heater on?
or float him?
or do half and half in another tank?
or?

its only 3 degrees Celcius. i would put them in a bag and float them for a while. just give them some time to recover.

def acclimate it .... specially with aros as they are pretty finicky at a young age .

To be safe, I would drip acclimate the fish untill the temperature equals out (or gets very within a degree)

i like the slow way of doing things ... doing a drip system will help bring up temp and ph etc slowly ... i find this works very well.. use air line tubing and and use as a siphion then tie a knot in the end till you get a good drip going on
