My next-door neighbor is a criminal attorney, and I'm going to ask him to do some nosing around. Also we're trying to essentially sucker him out by insisting that HE has to come to Florida to sign the paperwork, not have his (alleged) attorney do it...and if he doesn't, that's a deal-breaker.
Once I have incontrovertible proof that he is the perp, then I will definitely be contacting his warden, and his Parole Review Board, and filling them in on his unscrupulous activities. The bummer is that it will probably be a pyrrhic victory, as without the expansion money he was (allegedly) going to bring to the table, our store isn't likely to last the summer. *sigh*
