BGJD New Spawn... TON of fry....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
How are your fry doing, have you lost any?I've seen auctions where JDs are being sold at 1 inch.I hear it takes a few months to get to that size.BTW,my fry are just starting to become free swimming too.

Thanks. I guess I will do a test run once they reach 3 weeks old. If they travel well, I will start selling, and shipping them.

BTW: How much should I ask for the fry each? They will still be little?

I won't have time to seperate the Ebjd from the Bgjd either!!!

hey ace! how are they fry?

I lost some of the fry due to being out of the country for the last week. I still have a good 400 or so fry. Most of them are starting to get their "dempsey" fins in.

I want to try to do a test run prob. next week, so I will be looking for a member (pref. on the west coast) who is willing to pay for shipping cost.

I'm in Rhode Island but will pay for shipping. Should be a decent little test run considering it says you're from NC.

K, I don't know much about these abbreviations that Dempsey keepers keep using so hoping someone can clear this up.

BGJD - Blue Gene Jack Dempsey?
EBJD - Electric Blue Jack Dempsey?

Nice spawn btw. I usually hold out until they're about 1-inch long. Then that way people can actually see them. And this sounds stupid but take a ruler and look to see how big an inch is. So many people say they're an inch when they're really half or two thirds.

Goodluck.
