BGJD New Spawn... TON of fry....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think must BB66CUDA sells the EBJD's around $4 a piece And I think he sells the BGJD around 2-3$ a piece. The only problem I think you might have is how are you going to separate the BGJD's from the regular JD's?

If I am not mistaken don't BGxBG give you like 25% EBJD, 25% Regular and 50% BG I know it goes something like that right???

Thanks everyone.

The parents are both BGJD's, so the pair should produce:

25% ebjd
50% bgjd
25% wild (reg)

Of course, the percentages will vary with each pair.

Here is a video update of the fry:

They have doubled or trippled their size since October 17th. They are growing VERY VERY fast.

Congrats again acea. What are you feeding them? And how many have you lost?My spawn was only about 150 fry,but the parents were very young.I only have about 50 left. They dont seem to be growing that fast.I am feeding them frozen BBS,and crushed up flakes. They are in a 20 gallon high tank and I change 1/3 of the tank water every other day.

It looks like you have some good parents. Remember all the extra fry add quite a bit to the bio load. The more often you do w/c's the faster they grow.

They are eating on live, and decapped baby brine shrimp. I ended up loosing prob. 200 or so fry when I was out of the country due to them not being properly fed during that time, as well as not being able to do any water changes.

When I first got my pair, they actually ate their first spawn. lol Your pair should keep having larger batches as they mature.

Thanks. I do small water changes every two days. It is difficult to do as the fry LOVE the syphon. lol
