bgk in high temps

I keep my BGK at 86 with my discus and clowns, he has been in this temp for the last 4 years with no problem. If you need to raise the temp just do it in increments over a couple of weeks until it get used to the new temp.JMO
well i am just looking into if i can have a group of discus in there. that is just one of the ?s i have sofar. are there any other issues with that combo? i do want everyone to be happy. sofar it sounds like they would getalong just fine
I keep mine at 72F, I think that given time to adjust they are quite adaptable.

Discus and BGK will get along fine, but a word of warning Discus are grazer's and cannot compete with a BKG in the food stakes. I hand feed both my Discus and BGK just to make sure the Discus are getting enough and the Clowns loaches clean up after them. What other fish were you thinking of having in the tank.
3 elefant noses, 1 bgk, 6 discus, 1 twig cat, and a baby silver arowana that will only be in this tank till he out growes it (180g)

If I add food while my BGK is sleeping under his rock, the other fish have a max of 60 seconds before he emerges and devours everything in sight.
its funny how different they can be,mine usually makes an appearance every 2 days for food.....think its trying to watch its weight
