Is there any ich meds I can use on these guys? I have bumped my temp and am using salt but doesn't seem to be getting better?

yes its ich! my blue gene jd's have it too! i have read that BGK are extremely sensitve to meds? my rid ich says not to treat knife fish? i would like to hear some meds you have used so i can pick some up at the lfs

salt and heat are the best you can do...i have never put anymeds exapt para gaurd in with my knives...

I have also used Ich Away in my tank to treat my Oscar and JD, and it did have the BGK in the tank.
I don't know, IMO, if it works to help get rid of the ich, why not give it a try? Obviously though, if the med shows not to use it with Knives...well... don't use it with Knives, lol. Normally 4 days after the ich appears it will start to fall off, the perfect time to 'attack' it. Day four, sometimes three, I start treatment, never had any issues. The heat and salt will kill some once they begin to fall to start the cycle again.

Ich-attack the brand is either Aquaherbals or Kordon. but it's organic and i've had no problems with it on knifes, baby cats, baby rays and other scaleless fish. and i know people who've used it on seahorses with parasites. it's probably a bit weaker than other meds but that's really your only choice with sensitive fish.

Dang it... that's what I meant. Not 'Ich Away'. Anyway, this is what I used to treat my BGK.

anyways i used ich away... didnt survive good to know thoough. next time i will have the right meds on hand.

So what is an ideal temp to help get rid of ich? I don't have any problems in my tanks (crossing fingers) but I did wonder about this the other day.
