Bichir and Flowerhorn

A. At that size, the ornate bichir can easily swallow down a 4" FH

B. The ornate spares the FH, but when the FH gets bigger, it would start picking on the ornate

To add to point A. Even if the 7" Ornate doesn't manage to "easily" swallow a 4" fish, it will definitely kill it and may even die if the FH get's stuck in his throat.

I have lost one 6"-7" Endli who killed and tried to eat a 3" Convict (and died in the process) a few weeks back (in a 4ft tank).

I have lost a 7" GT to a 15" Endli in a ~200G tank.

I never really found out a true ID of it. May be some kind of "Blue Dragon"?
I have had many fry from it and the BP female, and all those fry have that same blue sheen once they get to about an 1.5".

never do it. i have tryed so hard to get this to work and even when it dose work you will be all worked up thinking if the flowerhorn will snap. ive tryed many time many tanks and diff size fh and polys trust me its not worth it and 7-8 poly cant swollow a 4inch fh its impossibal im not a fh guy i own a few that im stuck with im more of a poly guy
