bichir and jd in 55?

can 1 male jd and a senegal bichir be kept in a 55gal? i have 2 ac 110's. the guy at petsmart told me the jd will kill the bichir.

Do you have another tank for one of them? If so just try it and if it dosent work move one of them

I have a 46gal bow front. Not set up yet. But I was told on this forum that it would work. Now I have my doubts.

People keep bichirs with cichlids all the time...mostly the cichlids ignore them.

The petsmart guy almost didn't let me buy the bichir after he asked what it was going with and I said jd. He said well this is a suicide mission for this little guy. Now I just feel bad.

At least he was taking precautions unlike most of the others, even though he technically was wrong

depends on size of the two fish more than anything
