eehhhh you'll get mixed feed back on that some people are OK with it and other (myself included) are not. in the world of live foods for bichirs think of goldfish like McDonald's, might taste OK but really isn't healthy for them in the long run
It does work but the goldfish will need to be fed food soaked with vitachem.
At the same time bichirs will easily take pellets which have no risk of disease compared to live food.
Like mentioned above you’ll need to make those gold fish healthy before feeding them to bichirs, you’ll also need to quarantine them for 3-4 week making sure they not going to give your bichirs disease and parasite.
Also you’ll be spending more money buying a gold fish, feeding them and medicating them rather than just buying some pellets to feed the bichir.

are right, but if you have a separate tank you could just raise your food in-house (I do) i use mollies, shrimp and pellets
It’s not what u feed them. Important thing is how u do it !
My sens literally eat anything, including:
- Pellets
- Earthworms
- Mealworms
- Daphnia
- Baby brine shrimp
- Moth larvae
- Dead tankmates
- Hake & tilapia chunks
- Flake
