Bichir gang

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ornates are literally the most annoying and territorial bichirs… constantly harassing the endli and lap even though it’s half their size, pushing and biting at them even if they go up to take a breath of air. The endli and lap now have very slight fins torn

Huge size difference lol. Lapardei still hasn’t eaten yet, but I’m sure at it’s size and being wild caught it wouldnt starve itself to death.

found a a deal of a 14” congicus for only $50 USD, but I know I should cut down on the amount of fish I’m getting since I already got two this week ?

So tempting… ? but I’ll wait till my current lapardei starts eating first… been a week and still seems uninterested in food.

Big guy congicus in the middle of the night jumped out of the tank. I had forgotten to close the lid that particular day and coincidentally decided to jump out. Lucky the huge bang sound allowed me to put him back. Polyprerus skin is tough so almost no injuries whatsoever. Quick photodump!

Although I know mammalian meat is not good for predatory fishes, the bichirs seem to love beef ?
