So I forgot plecos eat bichir slimecoats when I let my girlfriend get a Delhezi Bichir for her 125 gallon african tank today. He's only about 2 or 3 inches right now, would it be a good idea to move him to my molly tank with about 20 adult mollies and a tiny bristlenose pleco until we can get a 150 wide to put him in safe from a royal and standard pleco?

Ive had multiple 2 L600's and an L200 that never bothered my polys. But do understand the concern. Maybe just watch closely

I kept a rhino pleco with upperjaws and it was agressive toward the polys but in this case more of a territorial issue and fighting over a choice piece of mopani wood. But the only real way it could 'defend' it's territory was to suck on the poly. Even then it seemed to have issue with my weeksii the most and left the others alone. But then I tried hard to make sure the pleco was very well fed so this likely cut down on issues.

As Vancouver said, the common pleco is going to be the one to watch. But I've kept a couple different plecos (a common and a butterfly) with my polys for a few months at a time, and never had any trouble. I always just keep a close eye on them. From what I've read, it's the sort of thing where once they get a taste for it they won't stop, but they don't always start in the first place. Just be vigilant and you may be ok.
