How long did you leave the BW in the tank? Have you tried feeding with the overhead tank lights off?

Maybe 15 min he ate some of them but not all. I haven’t tried the lights off yet guess I’ll try that and the espom salt and tilapia thanks for the suggestion guys. I’ll try catfish if it comes to be too long.

If it's eating some of the BW that is good. I thought that he wasn't eating any. When it gets hungry enough it might be able to eat all that you gave it. Are you offering it a whole cube of Hikari frozen BW? Are you feeding once a day, twice a day, or every other day? I'm trying to get a sense of how much you are offering. How long is the bichir?

No need for epsom salt at this point.

The only time I would be concerned is if you saw the underside of its belly and saw a long concave belly. Then that would indicate it hadn't been eating.

I feed once a day or sometimes twice a day, I break off a little chunk from the flat sheet frozen bloodworms by omega one, the bichir is maybe 5 inches.

Thats too much food, you should change schedule in feeding, once every other day os enough you have to give the poly some time to digest its meal.

If going the cut fish route (tilapia). Recommendation is always to make the pieces small and no bigger than half their head size. Seen and heard some saying their Senegal died from choking on a large piece.

Thanks for the precaution, will keep in mind.
