Well, just to give you an update and my personal experience...the tetragonopterus argenteus I just recieved had to go. They went after each other, a few of my polys, and a smaller Ntt with gusto. They were unblemished so to speak...but man they are like stunning liltte Piranha. They were very nice looking, but it was a rather failed experiment. I am going with a group of 6 Chalceus macrolepidotus because I know what to expect and think they can co-exist pretty well. I would go with Ctenopoma acutirostre myself, but I don't know if they would stress my Dats. My Dats are wusses outside of feeding time. Hope you find your tank mates. Could always get some Oscars haha.
Thanks for all the fish suggestions !, sorry to hear about ur argenteus i know nothing of this species but honestly JUST MY OPINION i feel like they look like the cute version of a piranah , maybe silver dollars could work to ? ( i've never kept dollars and have no expereince with them ) , the chalceus honestly is a pretty good looking fish but it feels like they need alot of swimming area or am i mistaken ? i had 4 balas in a 190g before and 190g still felt way to small
