I wanted some odd ball fish. I was thinking of a black ghost knife or an albino oscar. I saw some at an lfs that were white with black fins and a solid orange side. They were awesome but were small. Do oscars lose coloration as they get bigger? And do bgks do well with gars? Btw, thanks for the replies!

I think I kinda like the Surinamen Geos. They look pretty good. What do you guys think? Will they be too much of a competition to my bichirs or will they be alright? And Ive read that they dont really like to swim in the open, is this true? If thats the case then that would suck cause then all of my fish would just be bottom dwellers. Any inputs?

My ornate which was 10 inches at the time ate an entire shoal of clown loaches at 2.5 inches. Good thing I bought them at Walmart I suppose.

I recommend a leopard Ctenopoma. They max out around 6 inches.

while I was gonna say this I think this one can Go either way because they may not be able to eat it that wont stop them from treating it as a chew toy but if it does work IMO they will be a nice addition
