  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Other option is to pull them off and hope they haven’t reproduced. Once pulled off then take a good pic.

I have done some research and I also think it could be anchor worms.
Sadly I can't get medicine with praziquantel in a store or even in the internet any more.
I don't know why but it's only allowed to get it from a vet since 2018.
Most of the stuff you guys have is not available in Germany.
I will buy jbl arodol plus 250 on Monday and hope it will help.
I think to catch the fishes is too much stress and maybe useless when they already have reproduced.
I will keep the water clean and hope for the best.
It would be a shame if they wouldn't make it !
I keep you updated.

If worse case can dip the fish in 1g distilled water and 4 tsp salt. Keep it there for about 15min and back to the tank. Can repeat again if needed.

In Germany there are not many vets that dealing with fishes.
Mostly dogs cats and other pets.
Than you propably need some microscope testing and so on.
It's doable but not easy and quick.
Most of the vets are almost in their holiday's.
I will keep an eye on the Delhezi and if it gets worse until I have the medicine I may try the salt bath.

Hey guys,

I tryed to get better pictures but it's not so easy with a smartphone.
I my opinion it does not look like a anchor worm because the worms only have one tail not two tails.
I thought about Gyrodyctylus worms.
What do you guys think
Today it's getting worse
The worms are all over the body of the fish.
It's crazy how they reproduce so fast.
Tomorrow morning i am the first guy in the pet store.
But it's very importend to know what I am dealing with to buy the right medicine.
Hopefully it's not to late. IMG_20181223_202330.jpg IMG_20181223_202311.jpg IMG_20181223_202223.jpg IMG_20181223_202330.jpg IMG_20181223_202311.jpg IMG_20181223_202223.jpg

Could be just bichir worms. Not forked. So I’d lean that way. Prazipro (praziquantel) will treat it.

Are bichir worms Gyrodyctylus ?
Are they easier to cure than anchor worms?
Yes bichir works are macrogyrodyctylus polypterus.

Anchor worms are a little more difficult to treat.
