Bichir with white worms

Salt dips killed the worms but they get reinfected, prazi killed them off properly. No issues since.
 
looks like a fluke or anchor worm (crustacean). If you have prazi treat with prazi once a week for three weeks. if its a fluke it will go away. If its anchor worm it won't

The poor guy said he can’t get praziquantel in his country. Any other meds he could use?

I once had an albino Heckelii that had something similar on the side of its body. Bought it from a guy who kept geos in his outdoor pond. I lost mine but had no idea what I was dealing with. Looked so nasty.

Good luck and I hope someone can tell you an alternative to praziquantel
 
I have managed to get cestocur from our vet.
It's normally made for sheep but it can be used for fishes too.
It's praziquantel.
Not so easy to find the right dose and time frame in the tank but I hope I have done everything right. Fingers crossed.

Update.
I have dosed Cestocur on Dezember the 24th 2pm
30ml on 300 Liter.
( 500ml are 70,- Euro at the vet) if you have a big tank this is a very good way to get Praziquantel cheap.
In the evening the worms started to die off.
At the next day there were no more worms visible. The Delhezi have started to eat again.
They look good but have white patches all over the body.
I have read that this are the bite marks from the worms.
Hope it heals fast.
All other fishes had no problems with cestocur.
I will post some pictures off the three guys when everything is healed

Pale areas are from the worms. It’ll heal up quick. Glad to know it’s taken care of.
