Bichir Zen - Feeding the polypterus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah she is cute :D

She's stubborn and she will wrestle a piece until she tears a chunk off or a smaller piece flowing in the current bumps her in the face.

Cohazard, best part of the vid is the bichirs coming out of the cover of plants. You have just inspired me to add more vegetation to my tank!!!!

Awesome scene seeing poly after poly coming out!!!

Well done and thanks for posting. I borrowed your idea of Tilapia from your other thread and my fish love it.

sweet. i think ima start feeding my fish tilapia since i eat it almost all the time lol. i getting tired of feeding my fish cichlid gold because it always makes my tank seem dirty and cloudy.

Thank you bro, I agree that is my favorite part too. It just looks very natural to me to see them appear from through the foliage.

The funny thing is that there are several bichirs that didn't make it into the clip lol

I can't take credit for the idea of feeding Tilapia. I have read about other MFKers using it and after Anne posted about some populations of bichir naturally eating tilapia, I went for it.

That's why I'm switching too, Less mess than pellets.

dang that video was awesome

I could have sworn I posted a comment in this thread.

I really should have, this video kicks bass.

I love in the beginning when the food drops and they all come out... It reminded me of vampires when night falls (don't ask why, but it did :D). Seeing all those polys scouring the bottom just looks amazing.

Maybe you're thinking the full tank shot thread? I thought you posted in here too lol

Thanks for the kind words dude, I try to make it interesting :)

You know what the weird part is about that video, is not only how close everything is (even the title!) but that JESToner used to be an active member in the poly forum back in 07, so I bet I've seen that video before, but didn't remember it.

Hi,really nice collection,congrats!

Thank you, I built up this collection from 1 long fin sen and 2 albinos in January to where it is now 4 months later. It's crazy.

I think this is the best my collection has been, all that's missing is my palmas palmas that FGW still has... for now :D

I also want to add a Teugelsi, then I'm done.
