bichir?

Pet supplies plus dragon bichir are most likely farm raised Polypterus senegalus which are upper jaw and max out approx 10-12 inches-Anne
 
dragon bichir? most likely a P. senegalus, but its also possible it may be some other species, depending on how the store likes to name them. without seeing pics, i'd say senegalus is the more likely one.

and regarding teeth, you usually don't see them on a live bichir, because their fleshy 'lips' cover up most of the teeth.

edit: i see anne and i posted at the same time. yup what she says.
 
Ornates are upper jaw species too, I think they max at like 22 inches plus.

Excellent, thank you! I'll post some pictures up later on when I get home from work. PSP had it listed that it'll get 12" as an adult, but you can never believe anything they say... :screwy:

wow this thread helped me a lot... thanks to all that gave their information. i think i might get a delhezi or a buettikoferi. if they will fit in my 55?
